I lead the System Security research group at the Saarland University in Germany since June 2014. Before, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the VU Amsterdam (Herbert Bos) and the Ruhr University Bochum (Thorsten Holz). Before my postdoctoral stays, I worked at the Institute for Internet Security if(is) in Gelsenkirchen, Germany and obtained my PhD degree from the VU Amsterdam in April 2013. Although open to quite everything, my primary research focus is in these fields:

binary analysis malicious software network security
Binary Analysis Malicious Software Network Security
